The Church and Democratic Socialism

How in the world has Bernie Sanders been able to inspire the Millennial generation? Sanders, taken at face value is old, white, has a crazy mop of hair, and yells a lot. He is the perfect amalgamation of a SNL skit. Yet he has been able to draw and mobilize the young voter on a level of 2008 Barack Obama even while running as an avowed socialist.
