Funny thing, is that I was ready to dive right on the bandwagon. If they would have given us something to cheer for... Fact is, they probably set professional soccer back about 8 years. After the last World Cup they had momentum and the buzz was slowly building. The problem is that the buzzz turned into zzzzz.

In my mind your web site is light years ahead of the rest of the blogging world. The phrase 'cutting edge of societal evolution' comes to mind. Where else would I get such an opportunity to continue the commentary on what has amounted to nothing more than World Cup hype. I liken it to going to the doctor and saying 'ahh' while he shoves a tongue depresser down your throat. You didn't go to the doctor complaining of a sore throat to begin but you got it anyway. All this World Cup coverage is a waste of perfectly good broadcasting space if you ask me. Ironically, you can bet the entire nation would be jumping on the 'futbol' band wagon had the U.S. made it any farther. One last puzzling note: no one playing in the World Cup actually wears a 'cup'
