They are a new company that has a primary purpose of promoting growth within Polk City. They needed a solution to be able to list potential development sites and to communicate with the public.

Being a new and upcoming church plant, it was important to keep the look fresh and inviting. The main focus of the realign was to weed out all of the stuff that the old site didn’t need and really focus in on the most important aspects of the site.

Score International is an organization that coordinates short term missions trips to various countries. They had several needs for their new site. They needed the site to be dynamic and have the ability to post news items, and photos from the trips. The content management system is built on Wordpress, Plogger, and Slide Show Pro.

One of my major projects at my “day job” for 2006 was the complete overhaul of the existing company website.

Being a larger company and the only person on the project I had a lot of hats to wear. The graphics and backend system were all custom built for this site. There are a ton of features available to use but most notably is the installation gallery.

One of the biggest draws for consumers and sign dealers is to see our scoreboards as they function in the real world. Having hundreds of these installations all over the United States and World I created a fairly simple search feature that can find installations from a specific model to all the scoreboards in Iowa.

This project was one of the most challenging I have undertaken and one of the most rewarding.

This is a design I put together for my good friend Drue Wolfe who runs the Walnut Street Gallery in Ankeny, IA. I inherited the previous site and had been managing the content for awhile but the design was not something I wanted to put my name on. A bit ago I had enough and decided that it was the time for an update. The content didn’t change but the logo received a shove out of the 90’s and presentation of the site is much cleaner, and more appealing to browse through. There is still development to be done to the content management system but the overall look is pretty much complete.

This was one of my larger projects and incorporated many different elements. It’s a dynamic site that runs Wordpress for it’s content management and Cube Cart for the e-commerce side of things.

The site has several highlights. First, there is a section that details the Abbas’ itinerary. It previews upcoming concerts as well as the previous month’s engagements. They also have a blog/news section that they can update easily. The store is being run by Cube Cart (this is the first time I’ve ever used it in a design) and was very easy to integrate into the existing design. There are some neat flash/javascript events on the album pages that allow you to listen to samples of their songs.

This site was designed for my little brother and his fiance who are getting married in December. The wedding theme was a fairytale so the castle and dreamy landscape seemed to fit in. There is also a splash of wicked worn goodness on the sides.

The site was based off a Wordpress theme called Day Dream and runs Wordpress in the background.
